Turn phone photos into large wall prints

A photo does not need to come from a professional camera to deserve a bigger print. A clear, full-resolution image from an iPhone or Android phone can make a personal piece of wall art. The right print size depends on the detail in your file, how much you crop it and where you will display it.

A family photograph can sit above a sideboard, a holiday landscape can bring colour to a room, and a wedding portrait can become a gift. Choose an image you enjoy looking at, then choose a size that suits both the photo and the space.

Large photo print sizes and prices

Mark out the finished size on your wall before ordering. This makes it easier to judge how the print will sit alongside furniture or fit inside a frame.

For the best photo detail, Picsme recommends 300 DPI. The table shows the photo pixels needed to fill each finished print at that target. Lower resolutions can still work depending on the image, crop and viewing distance.

Sizes and pixel dimensions are shown short edge × long edge. Pixel targets are rounded up to the next whole pixel and apply to the photo after cropping. For landscape prints, swap the two dimensions.

Picsme’s A3 option is 30 × 40 cm. Use the finished dimensions when choosing a frame. The same prices apply to silk and uncoated paper, in portrait or landscape. Delivery is separate.

Choose a size that suits your photo

• A3 (30 × 40 cm): a useful starting point for a shelf display, smaller wall or group of framed photographs.
• A2: a larger print that gives a favourite image more presence without taking over the whole wall.
• A1 and A0: statement sizes for a spacious wall. These need more image detail, particularly when viewed closely.

Check the original photo before enlarging it. Focus on faces, fine detail and darker areas. A photo that looks crisp on a small phone screen can reveal blur or compression when printed much larger.

Silk or uncoated paper?

200gsm silk has a smooth coated surface with a gentle sheen. Choose it when you prefer that finish for your photograph.

200gsm uncoated has a natural, tactile surface and a softer appearance. It can suit photographs, illustrations and artwork where that surface is part of the look you want.

How to order a large print from your phone photo

1. Open the custom photo poster product page. Choose your size, portrait or landscape orientation, paper and quantity.
2. Select “Customise”. Add your original photo and review your design.
3. Check your design. Review the crop and any image-quality warnings. Make sure faces and important details sit comfortably inside the print area before completing your order.

Use the original, full-resolution photo wherever possible. Screenshots, social media downloads and copies sent through messaging apps can contain less detail.

We print our photo posters in-house in the UK. Most are produced in 1 to 2 working days and sent using tracked delivery.

For mainland UK orders, Standard delivery is £3.50 with an estimated arrival in 3 to 5 working days, or Express is £4.00 with an estimated arrival in 2 to 4 working days. These estimates include production. Mainland UK delivery is free on orders of £30 or more.

Yes. You can order a single print from your own photo, or choose a larger quantity on the poster product page.

Yes. Every size is available in portrait and landscape. Choose an orientation that suits your photograph, then check the crop in your design.

Does the poster include a frame?

Our custom photo posters are supplied as loose prints. The finished size table will help you choose a suitable frame.
