Cookies and tracking technologies

Picsme uses cookies, browser storage and pixels to run the shop, remember choices and, where permitted, understand visits and advertising results. This notice works alongside our Privacy policy.

Use Cookie preferences below to review or change the choices available for this store. You can refuse optional tracking and still shop. Essential technologies needed for functions such as security, checkout and remembering your privacy choices remain necessary.

Changing preferences affects future tracking. It does not automatically erase information already lawfully sent. For a personal-data request, email hi@picsme.co.uk. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may stop basket, sign-in or checkout features working.

What these technologies do

A cookie is information stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. Browser storage can remember information on your device without using a cookie. A pixel or similar script can send information about an action, such as a page visit or purchase, to a service provider. These technologies can process device or browser identifiers and personal information; they are not automatically anonymous.

This describes the configured services and examples of their technologies. The cookies present depend on the pages and features you use, your privacy choices, browser restrictions and provider updates. Shopify also uses technologies for payment, sign-in, security and service performance.

OpenAI advertising measurement

Our OpenAI custom pixel measures page and product views, basket additions, checkout starts and orders. Events may include product identifiers, quantities, order amount and currency, an event or order identifier, page origin and an advertising referral identifier. Where available and permitted, our code sends SHA-256 hashes of email and customer identifiers for matching, rather than the original values.

Hashing does not make matching data anonymous. The configured event payload does not contain your uploaded photographs or design content. The pixel requires Shopify's analytics, marketing and data-sharing permissions and stops sending further events when those permissions are withdrawn.

How long do cookies last?

Some end with your browser session; others remain until they expire or you delete them. Shopify's published storefront examples include basket and currency cookies lasting two weeks, consent and localisation cookies lasting one year, and its session analytics identifier lasting 30 minutes from last use. Provider settings and browser controls can affect these periods.

For current provider details, see Shopify's Cookie Policy, Google's cookie information, Judge.me's Privacy Policy and OpenAI's Privacy Policy. These providers may use other storage or identifiers in addition to cookies.
