Choose a format around your strongest photographs
Landscape A5 or A4 works well for wide scenery. Portrait suits taller compositions and photographs of people, while 20 × 20 cm Square is useful for mixed layouts. Choose the shape for the images you want to feature, rather than trying to make every image fill a page.
Create chapters for stops or stages
Organise a road trip by destination, a walking trip by stage, or a longer journey by country or week. Short captions can record dates, routes and memories that are not obvious from the photographs. Vary the number of images on each page to give key moments more room.
Choose the cover and paper
Softcover is flexible and lighter; hardcover has a rigid 2.25mm board cover with traditional endpapers and gauze spine reinforcement. Standard books use 170gsm gloss inside pages. Recycled options use 170gsm 100% recycled silk for a subtler sheen.
Leave space to develop your story
Start with 20 pages. Add pages in two-page spreads while designing, up to 200 pages. A book started with 20 pages cannot be reduced below 20. Additional two-page spreads cost £0.28 for A5 and £0.35 for A4 or Square. Extra spreads are excluded from Picsme Forever. Upload original JPG or PNG files and proofread the destinations, dates and page order before ordering.

Which book shapes work for travel photographs?
Choose A5 or A4 in portrait or landscape, or 20 × 20 cm Square. Any format can contain a mixture of vertical and horizontal photographs.
Can I choose recycled paper for my trip book?
Yes. Choose a Recycled option for 170gsm 100% recycled silk inside pages. Standard trip photo books use 170gsm gloss paper.
Should I choose hardcover or softcover for a trip book?
Softcover uses flexible 250gsm silk with gloss lamination. Hardcover uses 200gsm silk wrapped around rigid 2.25mm board, gloss lamination, traditional folded endpapers and gauze spine reinforcement.
